Shenandoah Bridal Portraits | Virginia Wedding Photographer | Sarandon & Daniel

I can’t even begin to tell you how much these photos mean to me. Yes they’re in one of my favorite places in the world, and yes they’re definitely some of my best work, but they mean so much to me because of the people in them. Sarandon has been my photographer BFF for years now and we’ve been through so much together. We’ve shot five weddings together with more to come, gone to conferences together, taken countless photos of each other, road tripped together, and have always been each other’s hype women. Having her by my side (even all the way in Baltimore) has been one of the greatest blessings of having my business. She and Daniel (and of course their dog Jody) have been a light of my life and I was so happy to give them a chance to update their bridal portraits up in Big Meadows on Skyline Drive.

Knowing us, of course things went wrong, but it was nothing we couldn’t handle/safety pin. As Sarandon was getting into her dress, the zipper BROKE and the dress couldn’t be fastened. Her dress had been handed down and meant a great lot to her, so this wasn’t just a piece of pretty fabric we were dealing with here. Three panic attacks later, we pinned her dress together with extra pins from Daniel’s uniform and vowed to not shoot the back too closely without the veil. Scroll down to the bottom to see our handiwork.

As you can see from the photos, it all turned out fine and we got some images that all of us will cherish forever. Here’s to Sarandon and Daniel!
