Family Road Trip Part 1: Pittsburgh
I LOVE road trips. They’re my favorite way to see the world and create your own adventures. I’ve decided that it’s about time that you see some of my road trips from the past few years and experience everything I’ve seen. This is the road trip I took with my parents and brother north.
In the last two weeks of my summer vacation 2017, my family decided to take a road trip up the East Coast. The last time we had a road trip was when we moved across the country from California to Virginia when I was in elementary school, and we decided to drive and make stops instead of flying. This trip, we made major stops in Pittsburgh, Niagara, and Toronto, with smaller day-stops along the way. This is Part 1: Pittsburgh.
While we were in the City of Bridges, the Three Rivers Regatta was in full force. Along the water (where our hotel happened to be – check out our view!!), activities were going all weekend, keeping us very busy as we explored. Red Bull Flugtag, Nutrish Frisbee Dogs, Jet Ski Stunt Shows, Smash Mouth in concert, and a lighted boat parade kept us busy the first day. BMX Stunt Shows, Powerboat races, the Duquesne Incline, a trip to Randyland, and the Regatta fireworks show made our second day in Pittsburgh memorable and exciting. Here are some of the highlights!
