After their engagement shoot on the quad in the fall, I knew I would love shooting Helen and Aaron’s wedding. I was right. Their quaint little wedding was hosted in Helen’s parents’ house in the middle of Virginia, equipped with lawn chairs, Amazon dresses, and cats. It was a pleasure meeting their families and spending time with the couple in the backyard forest. Helen’s father officiated the wedding and her grandfather gave her away after walking down a perfect path in the woods leading to the ceremony spot. Even the cat playing during the ceremony felt like it belonged. Looking at the just-married portraits, you would have never known that 30 minutes prior to the ceremony, heavy rain threatened to force the ceremony inside the foyer. We got a little soaked during the first looks, but it was all worth it in the end. What a perfect wedding for a couple made for each other. Congratulations Helen and Aaron!
