W&L Prom 2017 Part 1

Washington-Lee (W&L) High School’s prom night was super eventful and exciting, and I’m so happy I could take part in so much of it. Not only did I get to take pictures of one of the prom groups attending the night, but I was hired to photograph the actual dance! This is Part 1 – The Group.

I knew four out of the five people in this group already from Ultimate, so I was super excited when Rachel (you remember Rachel) asked me to take pictures for them. After meeting at her house for the presentation of the corsages and boutonnieres, we all squeezed into a car and drove off to the Thomas Jefferson Monument. Living next to DC brings awesome prom traditions – taking pictures at the internationally famous monuments. Most schools flock to the Lincoln and take pictures with the columns and the reflecting pool, but quite a few groups travel to the lesser-known memorials. There, we dodged tourists and other prom groups and dealt with the serious humidity that is already upon us. After our shoot, we jumped back in the car to drop off the seniors at a restaurant in Georgetown, and then I was off to prom!
